I SEE SPECKS OF DUST/COBWEB SHAPED OBJECTS FLOATING IN MY FIELD OF VISION?
These are called floaters. Although many people find them annoying they are usually no cause for alarm. Overtime the jelly-like substance in your eye becomes more liquefied. When these pieces of gel clump up they cast moving shadows in your eye.
WHAT IS DILATION?
Dilation is a procedure where drops are instilled in the eyes to make the pupil larger so the doctor can look through it with a special magnifying lens to check for diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma or diabetic eye disease. It can cause blurred vision at near and increased light sensitivity for a few hours after.
